Senior Systems Administrator
IPSCO Koppel Tubulars Corporation, a leader of seamless tube manufacturing for oil and natural gas drilling has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Administrator for its Koppel, PA location. This position will report to the IT Manager.
The Senior Systems Administrator’s role is to support and administer data center infrastructure, servers, storage, operating systems and enterprise applications with direct responsibility to our Koppel, Ambridge, and Baytown plants.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting a large, distributed enterprise IT infrastructure running Microsoft operating systems, platforms and technologies. Responsibilities also include making key decisions on standard practices and apply those practices throughout the enterprise by leading the other systems administrators.
The successful candidate will possess:
- 4 year degree from a college or university or a 2 year certificate from a technical institute in computer science, mathematics, engineering or business administration; or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience administrating IT systems and operational excellence
- In depth knowledge required for software products including but not limited to: Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL 2000, 2005, Oracle, Windows Sharepoint Services, Windows Software Update Services, Backup Exec, Terminal Services, Citrix
