Plant Engineering and Projects Manager
Manages the development and execution of capital and expense projects for the benefit and improvement of facilities and operations at the overall plant level within the identified business unit.

Directs Project Engineers, Contract Engineers, and Interns in the development, submittal, execution and compliance for assigned tasks and projects.

B.S. Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or materials) and 5 to 10 years experience in manufacturing management.

Senior Project Engineer
Provides engineering services to increase capacity and improve the efficiency of the steel making and processing operations in all engineering aspects of plant capital projects, plant facilities and plant maintenance. Accountable to take assigned capital and expense projects from inception through completion.

Reports to the Plant Engineering and Projects Manager.

B.S. Degree in Engineering and 5 + years project management in heavy industry.

Project Engineer
Assists the Senior Project Engineer in providing engineering services to increase capacity and improve the efficiency of the steel making and processing operations in all engineering aspects of project engineering.

B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent and 2 + years project management in heavy industry.

Process Engineer
The Process Engineer is responsible for the development and deployment of site-wide process controls and continuous improvement initiatives (i.e. DMAIC, lean manufacturing, 5S) to reduce core business operating costs.

Key in this effort will be:
  • Development and documentation of process controls
  • Collection and analysis of operational data
  • Identification and prioritization of improvement opportunities
  • Development of solutions and deployment plans, along with tactics to sustain the gains.

B.S. Degree in Engineering and 3 + years process management experience.

Metallurgist
Provides quality assurance process auditing resources to all operations at the Koppel facility. This entails actual auditing and development and continued maintenance of auditing checklists and associated process standards. Accountable for the on-going process improvement relating to raw material procurement, quality and production of billets and tubular products.

Reports to the Senior Metallurgist.

B.S. Degree in Materials Science/Metallurgy Engineering discipline and 5 + years in melting and casting.
